The Paddler

Marcus has been paddling in sea kayaks for the past 4 years. In 2007 Marcus successfully circumnavigated Ireland as a fundraiser for the Royal National Lifeboat Association, a trip of over 1,100 nautical miles in 42 days. Past expeditions brought Marcus to Patagonia/Chile (2006), the South and West Coast of Australia (2007), and Nova Scotia, Canada (2005).
Marcus got introduced to sea kayaking by Eric Stiller of Manhattan Kayak and has since logged thousands of coastal miles at home in NY Harbor, the Hudson River, and the Atlantic Ocean along the Jersey Coast. Marcus came in first place in his class in the past two NYC Mayors Cup races and is currently preparing for 2008 Mayor's Cup on his newest vessel, a V10 surfski, well aware he may end up swimming a considerable portion of the 29 Miles long course around Manhattan.
In February of 2008, Marcus started giving presentations about his amazing journey around Ireland by kayak in the summer of 2007. Check out dates and locations for upcoming presentations.
